Oracle Level 2 Support – Skills Requirement

• At least 5 years experience in Oracle database administration in production environments.

• Capable of performing the following Database Administration tasks independently in Oracle 8i and 9i:-
Installation of oracle software
• Database setup, database upgrades, space management, backup and recovery using either SQL Backtrack or RMAN, database cloning
• Diagnose and resolve performance, connectivity, security and database corruption issues in a critical production environment
• Setup and maintain High-Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Proficient in Unix system administration relevant to Oracle database management.
• Experience in supporting multiple and large oracle databases environment.
• Capable to provide 24X7 support (Rotational Shift) in a critical production environment.
• Strong scripting skills in UNIX shell environment.
• Proficient in Standby and DataGuard technology
• Excellent level of both spoken and written English

• Knowledge in Linux, BMC SQL BackTrack and BMC Patrol are a plus.
