Calling all CG professionals, as well as bright and talented graduates. Double Negative, Europe's largest visual effects for film facility, has a fantastic studio in Singapore and we are looking for happy, talented people to join us to work on US and UK films.

We are currently looking to hire Rotoscope Artists.

• Job Title: Rotoscope Artist (Singapore)
• Department: 2D
• Location: Singapore

• Reports To: Head of 2D
• Direct Reports: VFX Supervisor / VFX Producer

Rotoscope Artists work closely with the Compositors to integrate all layers and elements into a seamless visual effect shot. Rotoscope Artists assist the Compositors by producing mattes and preparing plates.

Needs To Do

• Depending on experience and show requirements, Rotoscope Artists are expected to :
• Produce garbagemattes and accurate articulate mattes by using in-house roto software
• Remove rigs and wires using Shake and other Paint software
• Prepare plates for the Compositors by dustbusting and scratch removal

Needs To Know

• A working knowledge of Roto/Compositing package would be an advantage
• An interest in Photography and digital manipulation would be an advantage

Needs To Be

• Pro-active
• A good artistic talent with a knowledge of composition and colour
• A strong eye for detail and precision
• Able to work under pressure amongst a large team
• Able to take direction and feedback well from Compositors and Supervisors

Measures of Performance

• Quality and precision of roto mattes and paint work
• On time delivery
• Continuous improvement and knowledge of 2D work flow and techniques
