We currently seek an Associate Art Director whose responsibility it will be to:

- Set art direction for our magazines and various other projects
- Perform layout editing, static graphic design, web design, advertisement design and other creative functions
- Ensure that all creative tasks are carried out to a high standard and within tight deadlines
- Manage and supervise a small team of designers

ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are a regional multi-platform publisher with media including print magazines, digital media platforms and interactive websites. We are a young, entrepreneurial firm with a young and highly driven team.

THE ROLE

Successful candidates will need to be able to align creative concepts with the overall strategic business direction of the company and also have a strong ability to execute tasks efficiently and promptly.

Candidates with high potential but no experience in Art Direction are eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will initially be appointed to the position of Senior Designer, and intensive on-the-job training will be given with a view to emplacement as Associate Art Director within 1-3 months.

The successful candidate will be expected to work full-time from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm daily (even though actual working hours may vary and can be flexible).

Also, the successful candidate will receive intensive mentoring and support from senior management, and will have the opportunity to learn about managing a project as well as leading a team.

Remuneration will be $19,680 - $22,440 per annum (for senior designer) and $23,040 - $33,420 per annum (for associate art director), dependent on qualifications and experience.


REQUIREMENTS
- Singaporean or PR only
- Diploma or Degree in design
- Minimum of 2 years experience (for Art Director) or 1 year experience (for Senior Designer) in a design capacity, including freelance and/or project work
- Positive, driven and energetic demeanour
- Responsibility and initiative are of utmost importance, the selected candidate MUST be a good team player and be able to work without close supervision
- Track record of leadership will be a bonus
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, HTML design

Note that the most important selection criteria will be value fit and personal traits – these will be viewed with more importance than technical ability.
