I am making a community website that uses the MySQL database to store information about the users and their products. I have already created the conceptual design and functionality for the pages using HTML and PHP. However, I want to add jQuery and AJAX to certain parts of the site to make it more sophisticated.
For example:
1 - When the user's mouse hovers over the name of a product, I'd like more information to appear in a tooltip that draws data from MySQL.
2 - Make the forms more dynamic, so when the user selects items from a checklist, the form automatically displays new options without reloading.
3 - Create a Twitter-like functionality so that new information submitted to the database is automatically updated on the site (using AJAX).
4 - Create a simple auto-complete for the forms that pulls data from the MySQL database.
I already coded the website from scratch using HTML and PHP (there's a login system and marketplace), and I simply want to add the elegance of jQuery to specific parts of the site. It would also be great if you know how to handle images: user can upload images, let PHP compress the images, and display images on the site. I've already done this using PHP, but I'd like my code to be more efficient.
Let me know! Looking forward to hearing from you.
